West Sound Wildlife is a wildlife hospital and education center that serves the western Puget Sound. In 2010, they treated over 800 patients in their hospital and gave educational presentations to more than 5,000 kids and adults.

Bainbridge Island Special Needs Foundation operates a day program at Stephens House for young adults with developmental disabilities, focusing on quality of life enhancements. Goals are to increase physical health, mental wellbeing, and social interaction, while providing respite for caregivers.
